Melloney is an award winner speaker and Certified Project Management Professional whose background in Digital Media, Broadcast and Interactive Media Platforms spans more than 16 years and a strong supporter of entrepreneurs. It was her support for entrepreneurship that brought her to Startup Canada where she held the role of VP of Communications managing the National Program consisting of Social Media Channels, Sponsor and Partner Relations in addition to planning and managing Entrepreneurship events. After her tenure as VP of Communications, Melloney has taken on the volunteer role of Founder and Leader of Startup Peel Community for the Region of Peel. Startup Peel became an official Startup Canada Community in December of 2015 with the mandate of showcasing the work of entrepreneurs in the community to the rest of the world.

Melloney is currently working alongside various industry professionals to bring an Incubator to include a Women’s Enterprise Centre to the Region of Peel with an emphasis on women over the age of 35. Startup Peel through industry partnerships is now becoming a resource where entrepreneurs can connect, network and grow their business.

Melloney is a respected mentor and active Startup Canada Policy lobbyist for change to support and to bring greater funding for Women led businesses.
