Catherine Bischoff

Associate Director, University of Waterloo

Catherine Bischoff is the Associate Director, Outreach and International Programs at University of Waterloo's Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship & Technology Centre. Catherine joined the Conrad Centre in 2015 and leads the Outreach program design, managing corporate and institutional partnerships from the regional to global scale. She is responsible for business development and building customized executive education programming in innovation strategy and leadership.

Before joining the university she was Sr. Business Analyst for Canada’s Technology Triangle, the economic development arm of Waterloo Region, with a focus on investment attraction in the advanced manufacturing, high tech and financial & business service sectors. She facilitated numerous foreign direct investments from Germany, the Netherlands and U.S. to the Waterloo Region innovation ecosystem. There she also developed the bilateral Waterloo Region-Brainport Eindhoven, Netherlands strategy and alliance, softlanding for startups, investment and academic collaboration between the two regions.

From 1997-2011 she lived in Germany and France managing marketing initiatives for global leaders in the consumer products and technology industries including Estée Lauder Companies, Photowatt, FIBA and Corbis.

Catherine has a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University, is an entrepreneur and serves on various arts Boards. She’s often asked to speak to international audiences on why Waterloo is one of the best places to live, learn and work in Canada.
