He is also CoFounder and Managing Partner of ThePool - Entrepreneurship Club where he trains and accelerates entrepreneurs to scale their startup with all the tools needed to grow and create global impact. At ThePool he has managed several Open Innovation programs for Mexican corporations and has incubated 120+ start-ups in Mexico City.

He is also Founder and Angel Investor at Mavericks - Formation Capital which aims to be the largest Angel Investing community / training in Latin America with the mission to sophisticate more people to become angel investors in early stage startups.

Luis is a Kauffman Fellow Class 20 where he has received his training in impact investments through Venture Capital. The Kauffman Fellows Society is is a highly sought-after two-year program dedicated exclusively to the world of venture capital and the cultivation of new high-technology, high-growth, high-impact companies. Only around thirty Kauffman Fellowships are offered each year; selection signals membership among an elite cadre of the world's most promising venture investors. To date, Kauffman Fellows have made $6 billion in venture capital investments, sparking growth in hundreds of new enterprises, $15 billion in annually recurring revenues, and the creation of 50,000 jobs.

Previously, Luis attended an exclusive training program with Tim Draper’s Venture Capital funds and their Managing Partners in Silicon Valley. Finally, Luis has an MBA in entrepreneurship from Olin’s Graduate Business School at Babson College in Massachusetts. His passion for entrepreneurship and commitment to create an impact in Mexico’s culture and entrepreneurial scene through innovation makes him a catalyst in Latin America region.
