Michael Cuesta
Director, UPS Mexico
Michael Cuesta is responsible for all marketing and retail associated activities of UPS Mexico, including the expansion of portfolio services and the launching of new products.
Michael began his career at UPS in April 1989 as a sorter in the hub at Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In 1991, he was promoted to part-time operations supervisor of the hub. Two years later, in 1993, he became an account executive, where he engaged in various tasks in the area of sales, until 1999. In 2000, Michael joined the Northeast Region's marketing team as a regional price analyst. He became Manager of Strategic Pricing at the company's corporate headquarters in Atlanta in 2004; from then until 2010, he held various roles in the area of strategic pricing at the corporate and global level. In 2010, Michael was transferred to Miama as the regional manager of the Americas. At that time, Michael was key to the integration of the pricing department into the shipping department, including the implementation of a system for discounts in various countries in the region.
With more than 25 years of experience in the company, Michael was named Director of Marketing and Retail for UPS Mexico in February 2015. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and a Masters Degree from the University of Massachusetts.
